Noah’s Ark Veterinary & Boarding Resort is a privately owned small animal veterinary practice located between Baltimore and Annapolis, Maryland. We’re looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant who loves animals, enjoys helping people, and wants to be part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Our assistants help keep the hospital moving and support the veterinary team in providing attentive care to every patient. From helping patients feel safe to preparing rooms and supplies, the work you do makes a difference throughout the day. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, eager to learn, and comfortable working as part of a busy team.
Previous veterinary experience is helpful, but it isn’t required for the right candidate. We value attitude, teamwork, adaptability, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in learning.

What You’ll Do:
- Help provide a calm, safe, and compassionate experience for patients
- Assist the veterinary team with patient handling and restraint
- Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and supplies for appointments and procedures
- Help keep patients clean, comfortable, and appropriately housed during their visit
- Support basic patient-care tasks as directed and within your training
- Clean and disinfect rooms, equipment, and work areas
- Restock supplies and help maintain an organized hospital
- Assist with patient flow and communicate updates to the veterinary team
- Help with sample preparation and other routine support tasks as trained
- Follow hospital procedures for patient safety, cleanliness, and handling
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine interest in animal care and veterinary medicine
- Friendly, compassionate, and professional communication
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively
- Reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to take initiative
- Ability to stay organized and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working with animals who may be nervous, uncomfortable, or difficult to handle
- Veterinary or animal-care experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate

About
Noah’s Ark Veterinary and Boarding Resort began its journey 1998 by the current owner, Mark Boback. After the first three years we were able to add our first kennel building with our indoor/outdoor runs. Soon after in 2005 we added on a second kennel building! Wanting to continue the dream of a “one stop shop” for pet care, the veterinary office was added in 2008. Three short years later we expanded again, adding the second floor to create a full service veterinary hospital. NAVBR has a staff of about 45 animal lovers in combination of the resort and veterinary.
